First match of third game-week of Premier league ended with an extraordinary drama as Manchester United won against Brighton. Cheers to the 100th-minute penalty converted into goal from Bruno Fernandes to get the away side stunning 3-2 victory. Following this victory Manchester United got much needed first 3 points for this season.
The winning goal of Bruno Fernandes, came after referee Chris Kavanagh had initially blown for full time, concluding a thrilling match that saw Brighton hit the woodwork five times, which broke the PL record for the highest woodwork in a single game. Brighton attacking midfielder, Neal Maupay gave away the decisive penalty when he attempted to prevent a late heading from united captain Harry Maguire, which proceeded to a VAR review after referee Chris Kavanagh had called for the game to end.
Upon consulting the pitch side VAR review, Chris Kavanagh ended up giving the penalty and Fernandes struck the penalty into the net. Shortly after Brighton winger, Solly March had levelled for a home side in the fifth minute of additional time.
In another dramatic game, Chelsea shared the points with West Brom after coming from 3-0 down in the half time to secure a point and making it 3-3.
West Brom looked to be racing to a first win since returning to the Premier League after errors from Chelsea defenders allowed Callum Robinson to score twice, and Kyle Bartley to score the third. Chelsea was down to 3-0 in the first 30th minute of the game, but the goal from home-grown players – Hunt, Hudson-odi and the last-minute goal from Tammy Abraham secured the needed point for the Blues.
